View Transmittals
A default view called ‘02 – Transmittals \ Prepare for Issue’ is provided with PentagonDocs Assistant but this may be named differently in your organisation. Use this view to locate the transmittal you have just submitted, or you can use the ‘Recently Accessed by Me’ view, or search, etc.
In the above example you can see that a transmittal contains the drawing issue sheet in PDF format and a zip file which contains all the documents and the issue sheet. The Documents that are associated with the Transmittal are also displayed in the ‘Documents’ reference tree.
The transmittal zip file can be attached to an email or copied out of the system for delivery (Project files and information can also be uploaded directly using Extranet Upload feature).
The document issue sheet can be generated in various formats including Excel, Word, PDF and TIFF. This will be set by your admin who can also specify if your issue sheet is single issue, an historical issue or custom. These are explained in the following sections.
The single-issue transmittal report creates a Document Issue Sheet that only lists the details for the last issue of a Transmittal:
The historical issue report creates a Document Issue Sheet that also lists the previous issues of the Transmittal. The default PDF format will show the last 6 issues of a Transmittal:
PentagonDocs Assistant provides the option for a custom report format to be utilised. This may show the Document Issue Sheet in a different layout, text etc. This is set by your admin user in the PentagonDocs Assistant Administration Utility.
