NOTE: This feature has only become available from version 5.0.234.0 onwards.

With the PentagonMail Assistant - Meridian Integration, there is a dedicated PentagonMail Assistant set of commands that are accessible within PowerWeb:

This function allows the user to open the PMA Search directly from within Meridian.

IMPORTANT:

This is achieved through the use of the PentagonMail Assistant Broker service, which is activated when the New Outlook support is enabled (see Install PMA with New Outlook).

Make sure both the Broker and Background Filer services are running on the user’s machine. If one of them is not running, both buttons will be greyed out/disabled as shown below.

Open PMA Search

After the Background Filer and Broker are up and running, the "Open PMA Search" button will become clickable.

Once available, you can click this button to launch the PentagonMail Assistant (PMA) Search tool directly on your computer and easily search through your mail data to access important information quickly and efficiently.

Open PMA Search Location

After the Background Filer and Broker are up and running, the "Open PMA Search Location" button will become clickable.
To use this feature the user must first click on a folder within the Meridian PowerWeb Browser page, doing so will trigger a check to determine if that folder is also an active PMA location. If the folder selected is also a PMA location then the button will become enabled.

In the following example, the “Email Folder” folder is also a PMA Location and, when the folder is selected, the “Open PMA Search Location” button becomes available.

When this button is clicked, it will also launch the PMA Search tool, similar to when the "Open PMA Search" button is clicked.

However, in this case, the location name will be filtered to be that of the folder that is selected.

While Meridian PowerWeb is opened, if the Broker and/or the Background Filer are turned off or stop running, then the buttons will go back to their disabled state and be unusable until both processes are running again.
