MAPILogonEx:MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED
It is very rare, but if you receive an 'Outlook is not running' error, or Error in MAPILogonEx:MAPI_E_LOGON_FAILED it is probably because PentagonMail Assistant has been installed to run under a different user account to the one running Outlook.
Resolution: To check this go to the Details tab in Task Manager and check that the Username for the following processes are all the same. If not, seek help from your I.T. team.

PentagonMailAssistant.BackgroundFiler.exe
PentagonMailAssistant.Indexer.exe
PentagonMailAssistant.Launcher.exe
If this does not resolve the problem check that you have a profile for Outlook in Windows:
- From Control Panel select Mail
- Pick Show Profiles
It should show a profile similar to this. If there is no profile you will need to add one.
Be sure that the Always use this profile option is selected.
