New Sheet
It is important that you use the New Sheet method to add sheets as PentagonDocs Assistant will then link the sheet’s unique ID and its details with data held in the vault.
To add a sheet: click the ‘New Sheet’ button, select a template and pick OK.
Complete the metadata card for the sheet.
Then click ‘Create’. A new sheet will be created from the template you selected, and the title block will be populated based on the details you provided and information about the project.
The drawing sheet can now be worked on as normal by adding views, text, etc.
In the PDA vault a placeholder will have been created. This is so we can generate the document number correctly for the sheet, but obviously at this point the object in the vault will have no drawing content. A placeholder PDF is added to ensure that it is clear that this is a Revit sheet placeholder currently being worked on:
This content will be replaced by using the Publish function of the PDA ribbon. As detailed in the next section.
