The properties panel provides tools to either edit the drawing metadata properties directly or synchronise them between Revit and PentagonDocs Assistant.

Synchronise to PentagonDocs Assistant

If you have made changes to the title block properties during your edit session, you can use this button to force an update of these properties from the title block to the metadata properties held in PentagonDocs Assistant. Any properties that have been configured to update PentagonDocs Assistant will be synchronised automatically. (Properties are configured by your admin as either: sync only from the drawing to PentagonDocs Assistant, sync only from PentagonDocs Assistant to the drawing, or sync bi-directionally). Typically, only Title1, Title2 and Title3 will be configured to update PentagonDocs Assistant as other properties are driven by the Project and workflows.

Synchronise from PentagonDocs Assistant

If whilst editing a drawing you change the drawing metadata in the PentagonDocs Assistant client, you can force an update of these properties to the title block from the updated metadata properties in PentagonDocs Assistant.

Click the ‘Synchronise from PentagonDocs Assistant’ button and attributes that have been configured to update the title block from PentagonDocs Assistant will be synchronised.

Edit Properties

The ‘Edit Properties’ button is arguably the easiest way to update a title block as changes are synced both to the drawing and into PentagonDocs Assistant when you click ‘Save’.
