Mark for Reissue
As documents are revised on a Project, a re-issue of a Transmittal with the latest revisions of the documents becomes necessary. PentagonDOCS Assistant allows you to simply re-issue a previous Transmittal. The re-issued Transmittal will automatically link to new versions of the previously issued documents. You can add/remove recipients, or documents if required. Details of previous recipients and documents are retained, and the latest revision of the document is automatically added to the transmittal. In the case of the historical document issue sheet, the new issue of the transmittal is recorded in the next available column.
As well as adding new recipients or documents, you can also specify which recipients or documents will be included in this issue of the transmittal. The appropriate information will then be displayed in the relevant issue column. The cells will be blank if a document or recipient was not included in this particular issue of the Transmittal.
To reissue a transmittal, first, click the ‘Transmittals’ button in the task area to open the ‘Transmittals’ dialog. Then select the required transmittal and click the ‘Reissue’ button. You can also right click on the Transmittal, then select ‘Reissue’ from the context menu:
This will place the transmittal into ‘draft’ mode, which can be viewed in the ‘My Drafts’ view:
At this stage if you wish to add additional documents to the transmittal, close the ‘Transmittals’ dialog and follow the Add Documents process outlined previously.
