Typically, when creating a Revit Central Model, the user can save to any location, ideally a network drive. PentagonDocs Assistant allows the Administrator to define locations to remove user selection from the process.

Central Model Location

A Root Folder can be specified to store Revit Central Models along with mapping a property such as Project ID to create subfolders.

Example of Central Files stored by UNC path and ProjectID

PentagonDocs Assistant provides a dialogue to Create New Local File looking at the folder structure above.

TIP: Display of temporary and backup files can be toggled in this dialogue to avoid confusion

Local Model Location

Administrators may also set the user's Local Model File location and subfolder.

NOTE: Model Management is centrally administered and will affect ALL Pentagon DOCS Revit users.
Users will require network access to the specified location. No configuration is required on the clients to enable Model Management. .
