DCOM Settings

In order to function correctly, the DWG Processor Application requires a permissions change to the DCOM security on the M-Files server.

To do this, go to the 'Component Services' window. Navigate into 'Component Services\Computers' then right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.

In the 'My Computer Properties' dialog box, select the 'COM Security' tab then click 'Edit Default' in the 'Access Permissions' section as shown below.

In the 'Access Permissions' dialog box, click 'Add' to add in the 'LOCAL SERVICE' account as shown below.

NOTE: 'LOCAL SERVICE' is a built-in Windows account that will be used by the DWG Processor Application.

Click 'OK', to close the 'Access Permissions' then again to close the 'My Computer Properties' dialogue box. Finally, close the 'Component Services' window.

The M-Files Server service (mfserver.exe) will need to be restarted for these changes to take effect. To avoid having to manually restart the M-Files Server service, it is recommended DCOM changes take place before running the DWG Processor Application installer.
