General Information

Our Near Real-Time Filing approach ensures efficient indexing without double-indexing messages. The system intelligently recognizes your own messages and conducts automatic duplicate checks. Additionally, it won't attempt to file messages in unauthorized locations, ensuring data integrity and security. When broadcasting, only location details and unique IDs are shared, preserving privacy and optimizing performance across various filing systems.

The indexing process remains robust and functional, even offline, and leverages network protocols like multicasting for efficient communication without network flooding. While currently utilizing a single network interface, future enhancements may explore broadcasting across all available interfaces for enhanced performance.

Limitations

The current implementation of Near Real-Time Filing does not support VPN environments due to routing constraints. However, upcoming system evolutions are poised to address this limitation. Similarly, cross-subnet communication is not supported at present, although configuring routers to forward multicast messages could potentially resolve this.

Future iterations of our system aim to overcome these limitations seamlessly, without necessitating complex network configuration changes.
